Our Practice
Dr. Dudley W. Stone graduated the Lovett School in Atlanta, Georgia, in 1991. He attended the University of Texas from 1991 to 1992. From 1992 to 1995, he attended the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia. He graduated cum laude in the Honors Program with a B.S. in Biology. From 1995 to 1999, he attended and graduated from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia, where he received his M.D. After graduating, Dr. Stone completed his pediatric residency at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, Georgia from 1999 to 2002.
After completing his residency, Dr. Stone was a partner physician at Georgia Pediatrics in Savannah, Georgia from 2002 to 2006. On March 6, 2006, he started Coastal Pediatrics, where he works as a solo physician... until August 2010, when he will be joined by Dr. Melissa Behm.
Dr. Stone has a Georgia medical license and is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. His professional affiliations include: American Academy of Pediatrics (Fellow), Georgia Medical Society, and Medical Association of Georgia. His certifications include: Pediatric Advanced Life Support and Basic Life Support.

meet dr. behm
Dr. Melissa A. Behm graduated from Savannah Country Day in Savannah, Georgia, in 1997. She received her undergraduate degree from Auburn University in 2001, graduating cum laude with a B.S. in Microbiology. From 2001 to 2005, she attended and graduated from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia, where she received her M.D. From 2005 to 2008, Dr. Behm completed her pediatric residency at Greenville Hospital University Medical Center in Greenville, South Carolina.
After completing her residency, Dr. Behm was a physician with Pediatrics Associates in Easley, South Carolina from 2008 to 2010. In August 2010, she returned home to Savannah, Georgia, and joined Dr. Stone at Coastal Pediatrics.
Dr. Behm has a Georgia medical license and is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. Her professional affiliations include: American Academy of Pediatrics (Fellow) and American College of Pediatricians. Her certifications include: Pediatric Advanced Life Support and Neonatal Resuscitation.

meet bessy, pnp
Bessy Lewis graduated from Pinewood Christian Academy in 2003. She attended Georgia Southern University where she graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. in Nursing in 2007. Bessy recently graduated from the University of South Alabama in 2011 with a M.S. in Nursing, specializing in Pediatrics.
Bessy has four years experience as a Pediatric Intensive Care nurse at Memorial University Medical Center. She also has spent the last year and a half as one of Coastal Pediatrics' nurses.
Bessy has a Georgia nursing license and is certified by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board. She is affiliated with the Society of Pediatric Nurses. Her certifications include: Basic Life Saving, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and Neonatal Resuscitation.
